This major furniture retailer was considering switching from a representative office in China to a full business presence. We advised on the tax impacts of the two options and briefed them on different types of business structures, including establishing a Hong Kong holding company.
The company went on to establish a highly competitive furniture manufacturing business in China and is now well-positioned to sell into the Chinese market.
In Vietnam, working with our trusted Vietnamese partner, we also assisted our client to establish local manufacturing operations, completing tax registrations, obtaining permits and liaising with local authorities to set up a company there.
